Both of us agree that group work should be highly structured, but disagree on the extent that it should be used. Zach argues that whole class behavior routines and simple techniques like think-pair-share should be mastered before teachers consider launching into big group projects, while Brad stresses the importance of schools supporting teachers in becoming comfortable with more complex forms of group work.
